What’s the weather going to be like when I’m in Paris?
While we appreciate you thinking we’re powerful enough to predict weather, we cannot, especially the varying French weather. We recommend just looking up the average weather temperatures for the time you are visiting to give you an idea of what it will be like.
What’s the best way to get euros (€) for my trip?
Paris is very much a cashless city these days, but you might want to carry some cash just in case as there are a few shops, cafes and markets that prefer cash payments over card or contactless payments. We recommend just heading to an ATM and using your international bank card to withdraw euros once you arrive in the city.
Is contactless payment common in Paris?
Contactless payment is incredibly popular in Paris, and is currently the most common method of payment throughout the city.
The hotel check-in opens at 3 pm, but I will be arriving at 10 am. I would like to find somewhere safe and reliable to store my luggage and explore Paris. Are there any luggage storage facilities around the city?
Yes, most hotels will hold your luggage before or after your check-in time, but check directly with them. However, there are also countless reliable and safe luggage storage facilities available throughout the city for a small fee. Do you offer tours or tour guiding services?
We don’t offer any tours or tour guide services, but we have an entire section on our website dedicated to tours we love and highly recommend.

There are plenty of great hotspots in Paris that we love for different reasons. Where to stay really depends on what you’re looking for, so here’s a list of our top suggestions for areas to stay in Paris and why we recommend them.
Some of our personal favourites are the Marais* for its great food and trendy restaurants, the Latin Quarter* for its culture and market streets, Montmartre* for its true French village feel, Saint Germain* for its galleries and museums, as well as South Pigalle* for its buzzy boutiques and nightlife.

Do you recommend a day trip to [city]?
Our rule of thumb is that there’s so much to do and see in Paris (if you don’t stick to only the most touristy bits and you use our itineraries) then you’ll have plenty to see if you’re here for less than five days. However, if you’re in Paris for over five days, then you might consider a day trip (which we have plenty of recommendations for on Day 6 of our Paris Itineraries).
There are lots of companies who run day trip tours on buses out of Paris, and it’s very easy to get to some other major cities on the train if you’d rather just do it on your own. We have a few recommendations here.
