I LOVE this seductive luxury hotel and definitely think it’s one of the most romantic hotels in Paris. It’s found within a former maison close, a “house of pleasure,” situated on a quiet side street a few paces from the Moulin Rouge and Montmartre. Designed by star French designer Jacques Garcia, its interiors aim to recreate a 19th-century boudoir. Its 20 rooms are all named after historic courtesans (high-end sex workers of the past) and are decorated in antiques, sensual paintings, and heart-shaped lighting. Enhance your romantic stay with a drink in its posh library bar or treat some pampering at its spa which has a pool, steam room, and massage room.

The whimsical vibe and decor of this cool new hotel in the southern Marais make it a great fit for a romantic getaway in Paris. Its rooms are decked out in canopy beds, funky custom-designed lamps, and artwork collected at flea markets. Some have private balconies, perfect for a romantic glass of bubbly, or else you can also get a cocktail in the hotel’s two fantastic bars or a meal at its excellent restaurant. On top of all that, you’ll also have access to a wonderful pool and a spa.

Another hotel high up on my list of the most romantic hotels in Paris is this chic boutique hotel that was specifically designed for couples (and, yes, that means no kids are allowed). It’s in the cool Les Batignolles neighborhood and near the Parc Monceau, which is one of Paris’s most romantic parks. The romantic ambiance is set by its rooms which have seductive names like “Passion” and “Boudoir”. Then in-room amenities include cool features like swings, double Jacuzzi tubs, and mood lighting. For extra luxury, book the “Bain de Minuit” room, which has its own private terrace with an outdoor Jacuzzi. The hotel also has a great restaurant overlooking a cascading fountain and a fabulous spa with a pool, salt cave, steam room, and Sensory Sky showers.

If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel with classic French charm, consider this lovely boutique hotel. It’s got both a cozy and a convenient location, set on an adorable small square overlooking the stunning Opéra Comique theater. Since it’s in the central 2nd arrondissement, you’ll be able to walk virtually everywhere in the city. It has different styles of rooms decorated in seductive red curtains, crystal chandeliers, and “Toile de Jouy” wallpaper (think delicate countryside scenes in white and one other color). At the end of your day of romantic strolls, you can relax in its small pool and sauna.

Nestled on a tranquil street in the heart of the Marais is this a modern tribute to Joséphine Bonaparte (nicknamed JoBo). She was the great love of Napoléon Bonaparte and quite the hip trendsetter of the turn of the 19th century. The hotel aims to evoke her spirit in its romantic decor blending Toile de Jouy, leopard print, gilded mirrors, and a touch of rock and roll edge. That might sound like a LOT, but it’s actually really cool. After exploring the Marais with your sweetheart, savor a cocktail in the hotel’s chic bar which has a portrait of Joséphine.

Nature lovers will feel right at home at this boutique hotel with a playful, nature-inspired decor. It’s situated on a market street between South Pigalle and Les Grands Boulevards, so you’ll enjoy a convenient, but local location. Rooms are in pastel tones and have light wood furniture and floral accents. This verdant ambiance is carried over onto its stylish rooftop bar, restaurant, and garden terrace where you can enjoy delicious fruit-based cocktails and healthy garden-focused cuisine.
Quick note: make sure you’re not booking your Paris hotel with a credit or debit card that charges you for paying in a foreign currency, you could be paying HUNDREDS more than you need you. Instead, grab one of these cards that don’t charge you foreign transaction fees.

This sumptuous hotel in the North Marais is the newly opened little sister of the Maison Souquet. The hotel is an elegant homage to Marcel Proust, the famed French writer from the turn of the 20th century. Its 23 rooms, ranging from deluxe doubles to large multi-bedroom suites, are decorated in historic paintings, antique furniture, and custom lamps with handwritten texts. In addition to its incredible swimming pool and spa, you’ll love its cozy library (with books by Proust) and romantic “winter garden” bar where you can enjoy cocktails designed by renowned bartender Colin Fields.

This nice boutique hotel is a perfect match if you’re looking for a budget-friendly romantic hotel in Paris. Mostly in a palette of greens and blues, rooms have vintage-style floral headboards and sections of wallpaper. It’s situated between Montparnasse, the Luxembourg Gardens, and the Latin Quarter, so there are many great sites and neighborhoods within walking distance, as well as the great rue Daguerre market street.
