A lot of people say Paris is one of the most romantic cities in the world, and they aren’t wrong. View The Kiss and other romantic art at the Musée Rodin
You might have big-name museums like the Louvre and the Musée d’Orsay on your Paris list, but I have to say, their long lines and crowds don’t make them all that romantic. Instead, I suggest visiting some of Paris’s unique smaller museums, like the Musée Rodin.
Included on Day 2 of our Paris itinerary, this lovely museum dedicated to one of France’s most famous sculptors is a great fit for Valentine’s Day in Paris. The museum has a LOT of romantic sculptures, including The Kiss, the perfect spot for a cute selfie.
Rodin was a bit of a romantic himself, and the museum also has a section of works by his lover, Camille Claudel. So be sure to check these rooms out to add an extra dash of romance to your visit. If the weather is nice, you can take a little romantic stroll through the beautiful garden where you might find a quiet bench for a little lovers’ moment.

Admire the sights along the Seine River by private boat
Paris has plenty of big boat tours, but if you’re going all in on romance, then you HAVE to book a private boat cruise. Having the boat all to yourselves is about as romantic as it gets and a really special thing to do on Valentine’s Day in Paris.
Snuggle up with your amoureux (your love) and sip a glass of champagne while you drift past Notre-Dame, the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, and all those dreamy Parisian bridges. And if a proposal might be on your mind, let’s just say this would be a pretty perfect moment.

Enjoy a gourmet meal at the Eiffel Tower
If the Eiffel Tower is on your must-see list, why not level things up with a meal on the tower itself? The endpoint of our walking route of Day 2 of our Paris itinerary, you’ve got two restaurants to choose from. On the second floor, Le Jules Verne is the ultra-fancy option, with two Michelin stars, eye-watering prices, and reservations you’ll need to snag about three months ahead.
For something a little more relaxed (but still very special), book a table at Madame Brasserie. found on the first floor, it’s still a bit of a splurge, but way more affordable than Le Jules Verne, and the views and experience are absolutely incredible. I haven’t been myself, but friends who’ve celebrated big moments here won’t stop raving about it.
Savor a candlelit dinner at a cozy Parisian bistro
Is a cozy bistro more your vibe than the glitzy Eiffel Tower? Then I’ve got some great spots for you that are all an amazing match for a romantic dinner on Valentine’s Day in Paris:

For a romantic dinner in Montmartre, book a table at the area’s oldest restaurant. Recently spruced up, it still has plenty of charm, but also candles, quirky chandeliers, red velour, and a delicious menu of French classics with a modern twist.

Even though this place on Place de la Madeleine is bigger than a bistro, seating is divided up into different rooms with candelabras, leafy plants, and elegant white-clothed tables that are totally perfect for Valentine’s Day dinner.

Sip France’s best bubbly on a day trip to Champagne
Champagne is definitely one of the most romantic drinks, and you can actually see where it’s made on an easy day trip from Paris. The Champagne region’s capital, Reims, is only a 45-minute ride by high-speed train from Paris, plus there are some champagne houses right on the edge of town, so it’s a super convenient excursion.
If you’d like to do this yourself, I’ve put all you need to know in our Paris Day Trips Guide, including how to get there, which houses are easily accessible, and where you can grab a bite in town.
But if you want the ease of being picked up and dropped off at your hotel, try this small group Champagne excursion. It visits both a family-run winery and a larger Champagne house (plus tastings, of course). You’ll cruise through rolling vineyards, learn how this iconic bubbly is made, stop for lunch, and then head back to central Paris. No matter how you get there, you’ll certainly have a perfectly sparkly day.
