Le Grand Mazarin

Opened in October 2023, this stylish venue is not only one of the best cool hotels in the Marais, but also in all of Paris. Whimsical, modern, and a touch quirky, its decor looks like the backdrop of a Wes Anderson movie. Rooms feature tapestry-draped canopy beds, funky custom-designed lamps, and artwork handpicked from local flea markets. There are all the in-room luxury amenities you could want, but the exceptional pool and spa will tempt you outside your comfy room. Its restaurant “Boubalé”, a term of endearment in Yiddish, features an exquisite modern take on Ashkenazi cuisine by Michelin-starred chef Assaf Granit, the perfect incarnation of the Marais, both past and present and a must-try meal during your stay.

Hotel Jules and Jim

This boutique hotel is found on one of the coolest streets in the North Marais, lined with avant-garde restaurants, shops, and bakeries. Named after French New Wave director François Truffaut’s cult 1962 film and with a minimalist edgy vibe mirroring the movie, if you’re looking for classic Parisian elegance this hotel is NOT for you. However, with only 23 rooms decorated with artwork by contemporary artists, a hidden terrace (with a fireplace in winter), and a cocktail bar, this hotel is an ideal match for visitors wanting to live locally amidst the Marais’s trendy residents.

Maison Proust

The new little sister of the uber romantic Maison Souquet, this sumptuous boutique hotel beautifully revives Belle Epoque glamor. With period paintings, antique furniture, and custom lamps with handwritten texts, the hotel pays tribute to French writer Marcel Proust and other celebrities from this opulent turn-of-the-20th-century era. There are only 23 rooms which range from deluxe doubles to sprawling multi-bedroom suites. There’s also a cozy library (of course!), one of Paris’s most stunning pools, and a swank “winter garden” bar whose cocktail menu was designed by world-famous bartender Colin Field, formerly of the Ritz’s Hemingway Bar.

Hotel Les Bains

If you’re looking for a luxurious adobe, this is the coolest of the luxury hotels in the Marais.
