Paris Travel Expert & On-Camera Host (Freelance)

Paris is a dream destination, but overpriced cafes, silly mistakes, and tourist traps? Not so dreamy. That’s where Love and Paris comes in. We help travelers experience the city like a local – ditching overhyped hotspots for independent restaurants, quirky boutiques, underrated museums, and hidden gems actually worth the hype.

People are loving it – in just under 2 years, we’ve built a community of 200K+ followers across our social channels, reaching hundreds of thousands every month. Now, we’re looking for a Paris-savvy Video Content Producer to help us with our mission to educate Paris tourists on how to have the trip of a lifetime.

THE ROLE

The internet is packed with Paris travel advice. We cut through the noise with expert opinions, no-nonsense tips, and hot takes that might challenge the usual recommendations.

Your job? Bring that Paris expertise on camera and turn your knowledge into scroll-stopping content. Whether it’s debunking common myths, exposing overrated spots, or revealing where locals actually go, you’ll be the face of our brand.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON

  • Brainstorming original content ideas with strong hooks that are relevant to our target market.
  • Researching and writing engaging scripts for voiceovers and to-camera pieces and creating thorough shot lists for shoot days.
  • Organising self-shoots to capture dynamic, high-quality content on your phone.
  • Sending footage and cover images to the Social Media Manager in a timely and organised manner (this role doesn’t require any editing)
  • Taking feedback from our Founder and Manager to improve future pieces.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:

The most important things we’re looking for are:

  • Expert-level knowledge of Paris. Be extremely knowledgeable in all things Paris as it pertains to tourists and understand what information is relevant and important to tourists (hotels, transport help, airport logistics, top tours, etc), and what’s not. If you already work in tourism, that’s definitely a plus!
  • A natural, engaging on-camera personality. Be extremely comfortable being informative, energetic, authentic and engaging on camera and doing self-shoots around various locations in Paris.
  • Paris-based full-time.
  • Near-fluent in English and have a working knowledge of French (minimum).

Everything below is a big plus:

  • Have the ability to write scripts in the Love and Paris style (engaging, informative, succinct, clever).
  • Have experience appearing in short-form social content (Instagram/TikTok/Youtube), either professionally or personally.
  • Have a good instinct for what makes content engaging and watchable (we’ll support with strategy and direction)
  • Know how to capture high-quality video clips and audio on your own devices.
  • Have the ability to bring humour to your content.

MONTHLY DELIVERABLES 

Footage for 4-5 videos (no editing will be required), with the view to increase this as we see that this person is fit for the role. We’re anticipating this will initially take 2-3 days per month.

While our team works normal working hours and some correspondence will be done during those hours, you’re free to work to your own schedule as long as deadlines are met.

We often have other work opportunities available so there’s definitely room for more work.

COMPENSATION

Day Rate: €325- €425 DOE
